Helping myself, by helping others

in Writings

One of the things I really enjoy, is to help people with what issues they’re having. I love being able to make a difference in peoples lives. By helping people, I get just as much, if not even more, back in return. To see a smile appear on someone who was crying and felt worthless only minutes before, makes it all very rewarding. I know I can’t help everyone, even though I really wish I could. The day only have 24 hours in it, and I still have to take care of my own life as well.

In the past 2 days, two friends that I’m helping, have said that I’m like an angel that have been sent down from heaven, to protect and make sure that everyone is alright. They both have written some really breathtaking and incredible sentences, that have had me feel as if I am floating on a sky. That’s how deep they are. To read everything that all my amazing friends have been writing about me, to me, makes me feel like I can survive every single thing that gets thrown at me. With all those sweet writings about me, part of me can see that it’s true, while the other part of me can’t believe it at the same time.

To all my amazing, incredible and unbelievable friends, I want to thank you; for staying by my side when even the smallest task feels big; for building me up when I’m down; for improving and giving me self confidence when I feel I lack it; for putting up with my weirdness and craziness; for continuing to push me forward; for believing in me; for giving me courage to do the impossible; for loving me… Yes, I probably could go on forever, but I know that’s not needed. You all know how thankful I am for having you in my life, just as I know how thankful you all are for having me in yours.

A few final words of encouragement: Never stop believing in yourself, and never let anyone bring you down. Always try to stand up for yourself, your hopes, your dreams, your rights and your beliefs, and don’t let anyone push you into things you don’t want to. With what you’re fighting with at the moment in your life, no matter how small or how big they are, and no matter how hard it is… don’t give up! Keep going and drive yourself forward. Chances that you will get there are much much higher if you start and continue to believe that you can actually do it. Keep telling yourself that you will get there one day, and never forget that it’s okay to ask for help.

Thanks again, and have a great day,

Livin' the Café Life

in Writings

The relaxation. The feeling of getting into a cafĂ© after work, sitting down with your favorite coffee, the headphones pluged into your phone, playing your favorite tunes, the laptop opened up, showing your favorite magazine or book…

It’s a dream that I have had for months, maybe even for well over a year. Yet, I haven’t done it yet. I don’t know why, but somehow I find it hard to find the right cafĂ©, with the right kind of people in it.

From my perspective, being a guy who uses his pc a lot because he wants to keep up with his internet connections, but still wants to come out of his apartment, I see this as the perfect solution to my problem.

Maybe getting outside, into a different environment, will even help me concentrate a bit more. Who knows, right? Maybe I should just get to it.
